On the way home from Klamath Falls, Oregon yesterday evening, we stopped at the mailboxes and this Crimson Bone SS Sod Buster Jr. fell out of the box and right into my hand. I'll carry it today. "Abby" the Hoarder was not pleased that we got home after dark but there's nothing missing (as far as we know) so everything's fine. Sausage and biscuits for breakfast.

I like the embossed Wenger on the scale.

I copied Harry's ( Old Engineer 's) walking stick design using an old harness hame. The shaft is Red Elm from Mack's Creek, Mo.
I am using it due to a nasty fall I took Monday at the dog trainer's when Duncan enthusiastically hit the end of the leash and I went down hard on my ribcage. This is my first day out of the house. Sucks.

Handyman and Camillus TL-29. No idea when the TL-29 was made, other than after 1950, but it's from before they started using the black plastic. I'm fairly certain these scales are Bakelite. Which makes sense since it's primary use is as an electrical insulator.

Hopefully you’re feeling better soon, Jeff. Usually the fall is not so bad, but it’s that sudden stop at the end that gets you! Wishing you a full and speedy recovery!

Carrying my oil driller #86 today. I de-horned it for pocket-eze and so I wouldn't ever think of getting rid of it (I stupidly sold the first one I had!).

Spent a lot of time inside marking my meager collection with which knife goes to which of my 4 kids . It is based on who gifted me the knife or money to buy the knife . There will still be a few left to fight over one of these days . At my age , it just happens to be one of the things that I worry about . Many of my knives bring back memories of things and people . The pictures shown are not all that I had to go through . It went fairly quick because I have a Data Base with many of them in it .

And what I have in my pockets today are these .
