What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Chilly and breezy and sunny today ☀️

Dana on package opening duty today.
This was an exchange due to Carhartt massively changing their shirt sizes. I had a 2XL Tall that I've had for many, many years and the fit was fine. It was a little big since I've lost weight since I first bought it, but it still fit ok and I like these heavier shirts to fit big, since I tend to wear them as light jackets. Anyway, I thought I knew my size so I didn't hesitate to order it online. It was massively too big. The sleeves extended to the end of my fingers, the tail was below my butt and I'd have to gain 100 pounds for it to fit right 😲
This one is an XL regular and its a lot closer to my old 2XL Tall. If I had been able to try them on, I may have gone down to a large. I like Carhartt products, but beware that their sizing is completely different than it used to be.

All this and I didn't take a pic of the shirt :rolleyes:🤪

My Dad passed away last Thursday afternoon, not unexpectedly. So I've been busy with family stuff since then; his funeral and burial were yesterday.

I haven't posted much since last week. II'll probably post more knives than I usually do for a couple of days to "catch up".

Canoes of the Week are both Rough Riders. One is an amber jigged bone model that is the first canoe I ever handled, and I fell for the pattern hook, line, and sinker! The other is a Tobacco Road canoe from RR.

My condolences on your loss. Losing a dad is not an easy one.
 
My staff does the Governor’s Staff Party every year at this time. I smoked these Norwegian filets yesterday for tonight. I’ve used a modern folder and this chef knife. It isn’t mine, but not too awful different from mine. Happy Holidays. IMG_0361.jpeg
