Thanks Pete, I think the pairing of the Sheepsfoot would be a better combo actually---less redundancy :o

Okay, I have new ideas now for tomorrows carry

I only have the one Charlow ( given to me by Jon ) I find it to be a very liberating carry, the sheepsfoot and peanut light and lots of utility.

just the Boy's knife along with my small Douk-Douk...

^^ Nice wood on that "Douk-Douk" looks a little different than the douk douks I've seen before though :p
That boys knife is lookin a bit too "equal ended" to me too! :D

It's like the Emperor's New Clothes. Most of us see a Douk-Douk and a Boy's Knife. You don't?

(sitflyer, I do believe you've chosen the wrong image for that particular description, or the other way 'round. Curiouser and curiouser! A fine pair of knives, no matter which you've actually toted today. The patina on your Boy's Knife Pony Jack is coming along very nicely! :))

please get those blades dirty. they look too clean. :p

The "Nut" just arrived today so thats on the agenda---the Charlow on the other hand has had multiple patina's but had to be re-flitzed to ward away the evil red rust that fought through it :(

Maybe I am experiencing a bit of internet overload:eek: :)

other way 'round I'm afraid :o Pony Jack it is today, and I really am quite fond of the pattern. Correct image was chosen, just very poorly described... has been corrected/ sort of/ best of my abilities, I really need to learn how to do that line through thingy there ;) still winging it as I go with these computer machines ;)

Nice to see you posting again Vic! Always nice to see you posting Sarah! Thanks both for the heads up

the Douk-Douk in question is still residing happily and comfortably in my watch pocket, and is yet another reminder ( of which I have been truly blessed with many ) of the kind and generous spirit which abides in this hallowed porch which we are so lucky to visit :)

#7 opinel. i like knives and am fortunate to be able to have more than one but virtually nobody *needs* more knife than this.

Did you check out any knives in Italy?
I only saw one Armory with a some Opinels and Vics in the window. It was in Florence. If they had anything more interesting I would have dropped in to look around.
