Spent a lot of time today in my car waiting on a woman . After a while it seemed like I had a lot in my pockets .

I like how the Hemlock Green (hey! I voted for White Bone) bone of our fine Blade Forums Barlow sets off the faint red streaks in that Walnut. It is one fine piece of Black Walnut. Or perhaps, since you're in California, English Walnut grafted onto Black Walnut rootstock and it's called Claro Walnut?
Even wonder how many guitar bodies you could get out of that dining room table?

I love Teles in part for their light weights - so give me swamp ash or pine or alder (and make it chambered and roasted while you're at it). A walnut Tele would be too heavy for me (heavy is great in tones but not in weights).

As Steeleye Span would put it, "A misty moisty morning and cloudy is the weather."
A Buck 303 in "Comfort Craft" yellow.

I have a big wood sea chest filled with 33 1/3 vinyl, including a well worn Please To See The King by Steeleye Span.
Thanks for reminding me of them!

Yeah, true.
I have a one piece body I've cut out of one of my Northern Ash trees, and it is going to make a heavy guitar.

Swamp ash is my favorite, but Northern Ash is incredibly heavy! That's gonna be a play-when-sitting-down type of guitar.

I don't want to have two posts in a row that are just me talking about guitars, so here's an old recycled pic of the knife I'm (still) carrying today.

Two "miner" changes ...
(1) LM Charge+ TTi with accessories on belt (in a Camo LM sheath) in place of the Western 062 Folding Hunter. 😳

(2) Case 6375cv & Tidioute 141122 out of pocket.
Case 10375ss stockman going into pocket.

VIC Huntsman (modified/upgraded with PLUS scales) stays on belt, using a small carabiner to clip onto a belt loop.
The double jaw lobster clasp I was using failed on 02/04/26. I spotted my Huntsman on the driveway when I rerurned from the store. 🤯
It would have been a disaster if it had failed somewhere on U.S. 30 going into town, or worse on the way home ... I never would havve found it.
No! That clasp went into the trash. 😡

Added a new Red toothpick, Tweezers, and fob. Also got a new VIC pen for the pen slot.
My sewing kit (AKA: "Pocket Wife" did not have a pin with a red ball. Orange was the closest there was. The other colors IMHO looked bad with red scales.

The Toferner Medeival Style Celtic/Norse/"Viking" pocketknife/kneck knife remains suspended from my kneck in a DIY modified OEM sheath. (I added the tuck-in flap the prevent the knife from falling out while sleeping.)

The Toferner is the only carbon steel blade on me.
