What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

A small part of my local lake was open water, I'm looking forward to spring. No luck today, I'm a bit afraid the ice fishermen may have caught all the yellow perch. My favorite Rough Ryder knife has been in my pocket for a few days. The ghostfish? I think they call it. Appropriate since I didnt see any fish.

International Knife of the Week is a Zamorano stag folder (really a Salamandra 10012) that my wife gave me for Christmas 8 years ago (with the help of my daughter who was living in Spain at the time):

I had to look that one up. I like it but I had never seen one before. A single blade with two backsprings. Pretty cool knife.

I’ve not been around for a while but I wanted to pop in and share a few knives I’ve recently acquired.

Firstly, a beautiful custom sheepfoot in cocobolo from the talented Tristram of Huntsman knives here in Australia. I sent him some money and the coco and said surprise me. In that, he certainly did.

Next, I’ve had a couple of “grail” GEC’s for a long while I assumed I’d never get. The main one was always an 81 Abilene and as Lady Luck would have it I was fortunate enough to finally land one. Paired with it is the fantastic cowbell in some lacewood sheoak by the awesome BF maker Redmeadow Knives Redmeadow Knives . John is a gentleman and a true artist. I’d recommend him to anyone.

Next a lovely little bunny in sheoak by the up and coming maker Justin Pospesel Justin Pospesel haven’t skun any rabbits with it yet but it will certainly get some use!

Lastly, one that just arrived. A knife I designed with Tristram to be carried and used for camping, bushcraft, work and hunting. The spear has a 90 degree spine and sparks a ferro rod nicely. An absolutely gorgeous and flawless piece in my eyes 🙂

Jack, first, good to hear from you mate.
It seems you have done very well for yourself in adding to your collection.
Tristram is a magician with steel and wood.👍🏻
