Absolutely smashing carving!🍀
Thanks, Dave. :)
I like your green trapper/Dutch oven pair!:thumbsup::cool:
I had never heard of Staub cookware but just looked at a brief entry on Wikipedia. Weird coincidence that Staub was acquired by Zwilling J. A. Henckels, whose knives occasionally show up here. And I learned that your enamel-coated cocotte has little nubs inside the cover just like the plain old cast iron Dutch oven my wife has had for at least 45 years.

The Staub “Cocotte” Dutch oven feels like lifting a Volkswagen auto onto the range, but is sure is marvelous for low and slow cooking.

It’s going to be another warm day here in the City by the Bay! Forecast is eighty degrees here in the City and hotter inland. It’s never gotten above eighty at my house and I’ll bet it will get to about seventy today. No plans for St. Patrick’s Day as I’ve always considered it to be amateur night. But in keeping with the spirit a CB Zulu Spear with green micarta handles. Have a great day folks! 😀

At first, I thought we had the same knife. Then I noticed that yours has a grommet in the lanyard hole. On mine this had a screw which attached a pocket clip. Then I noticed that the pins are located differently. An earlier model perhaps? I'm fairly sure mine came out of the last run before they were discontinued.
What is shown in the second pic? It looks like a coil spring tensioned, or course threaded, adjustment screw of some type. Mine looks nothing like that. Maybe I'm looking at it wrong 🤔
In any case its a very nice blade shape

Good eye, Mike! Mine is one of the older models from the first run. It has no pocket clip and Mister Russell used a coil spring for the lockbar on this model.

When they released the pocket clip models I was kicking myself for not getting one of the original models that were already sold out. I met up with some friends from the forum and we had breakfast at Denny’s and then walked down to the knife show.

The Lockback Barlow was gifted to me at the breakfast table by Whetstone39 Whetstone39 . We called it The Breakfast Barlow.

Great story Rick!
I didn't discover these until they were being cleared out and all they had left were factory seconds. I bought one of the brown jigged bone models also although its been mostly a box queen.
