What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

WinMag775 WinMag775 Superb pairing , I like the fact that Sheffield knives of this era-the quality era- often came with very small bolsters and much stamping on the blades  Connoisseur examples. Nice Isle of Man coin too with the three leg symbol. Friend of mine has a Manx Cat, no tail just a stump but he jumps and climbs well, big burly type.

Thanks, Will
Thanks Will. The smaller bolsters and all the extra blade stamping just give it that classic Sheffield character. You don’t see that level of detail as often anymore.
Glad you noticed the Isle of Man coin too! I thought it paired nicely. The Triskelion symbol has a lot of character.
That’s interesting about your friend’s Manx cat. I've heard they’re surprisingly agile even without the full tail.
Thanks again for the kind words my friend.

Pinned construction so NOT Schrade, but Camillus.
I don't know the Remington "R" number - if any - but as stated above, it is a Camillus #89.

I think the Buck 107 is the same knife, but with stainless (440a?) blades.

Agree.
I'm not aware of Schrade having made knives for Remington, at least not post 1970.
Schrade made the 301 and 303 for Buck for the first couple of years. After that the 300 series was made by Camillus untl the 301, 303, 305 and 309 were brought in-house in 1985. (There was also a small whittler and single blade made in house in the 2000s.) Other 300 models remained made by Camillus, including the 307 XL stockman. Camillus used 440A.

Speaking of which, it's a good day to carry a 309. This one in "Comfort Kraft Yellow" and 420HC. (one down from the top)
