How do you restrain yourself from using it?

I use them, but only to carry them around in my pocket. When I'm actually working, I use the stainless steel ones because I don't like seeing the dark, patinated blades.

I didn't finish the dripper project yesterday. The electrician proved useful with its semi-sheepsfoot blade, so It's getting a second day's carry.
The one in the middle.

I find myself doing the same, Frank. If a knife performed well, I think "No need to swap".
On the other hand, if I failed to come up with any reason to even pull it out of my pocket, I think "I shouldn't swap. It deserves another chance".

Brand spanking new 57 and a Cosimo lamb in the pocket tonight. These 57s are really really good. Flushed it out and the action and pull weight are perfect. Fit and finish is top notch h as well. Wasn’t expecting a clipped whittler or any splitback from GEC but I’m glad I’ve got a Tidioute and Northfield reserved.
