Good luck on your recovery. I’m 6 weeks away from having back surgery. I’m having a laminectomy done on three or so vertebrae. Dr. said it was gonna hurt like a hip or knee replacement. So…..

Thanks, Eric! I will be thinking of you mid July. Remember ~ pain delays healing, and keeps you from resting comfortably, so there's no shame in taking the Norcol and Tramadol.

Hoping the best for you recovery after the knee replacement Jeff. I had my left knee done years ago and have been pleased since. We had our dog Coco at the time and danged if it didn't seem as if she felt something was wrong and kept a paws distance from me for a couple/three weeks.

Thanks, Lance! I look forward to graduating from just bearing my body weight to actually lifting some real weights. I've got a rack and full set of plates that Mrs. Fleschwund would love to get rid of, but I told her I'd be needing them soon.

It takes patience Jeff, but improvement will come faster than you can imagine.
My wife's mantra to me was one day at a time.
I still do my therapy exercises 2 years later, even though they are not needed.

Wise to do that. Probably helps your golf game too!

I was surprised at how big of a club it is, Harry. When I spoke to my surgeon right before they put me under, he said I was his 14th knee replacement that week, and that was only Thursday.

Home for most of the day. Actually ran the air conditioner yesterday afternoon. Haven't carrried a Bull Nose for some time so this one will be my carry tody. The ole Ticker is ticking along just fine. Sausage and eggs-up for breakfast.

If you have a choice, I'd say sooner is better than later, Robert.
I put mine off knowing we were getting a puppy, but really should have done it last year. But last winter, when he was only three or four months old, he pulled me off my feet (standing on ice), and I broke three ribs. So now at nine months, I'm going to have to let Vik handle all the walking and training for awhile.

Once I grab these two it's hard to switch out to something else. I have, I dunno, 5 or 6 knives like that. If I could practically carry those 6 knives together, I'd probably never switch, but 1 or 2 at a time is plenty.

Tyson, It is satisfying to carry/use the same knives for longer stretches of time rather than picking something different every day.

He is a farrier by trade, and quite buried with work, because there are a lot of horses around here. If I can remember, I'll have to show this to him next time I see him.

This is a Camillus #68 Stockman. The first time I went to the Kane County Flea Market maybe 12 years ago, this knife was in the very bottom of a shoebox full of broken camp knives. Tiny sticker with $6 written on it. So dirty and encased in dried grease and grime, that I had to use my SAK to clear the tang enough to make out Camillus.
It was a year later that I realized how old it was - late 1940s, and that it was bone not delrin. I darkened it with potassium permanganate.
One of those knives that I could live with if it was my only one.

Oh, it's been hanging on a nail in the tack room at my place for a century. Probably made by my Great Opa or one of his brothers. Old Germans did not let much go to waste and many still don't.

Nascar isn't televising the Coca Cola 600 over National TV instead live streaming it and Nascar is wondering out loud why their viewership is falling off. I'll tote this 6347 Crimson Stockman in my travels today.
