Elmer Keith... Yes!!! My all-time favorite outdoors writer!

Those are great looking knives. The copper and root beer bone caught my eye in a local gun store, the D2 steel sealed the deal. Went back the next week and bought its bigger litter mate. I'll have to get around to taking some pics of both together.

nice looking old doctors knife!

Thank you sir, Kastor & Co, I got it just the other day :)

very nice, don't recognize it- ?

Thanks. It's an old Carl Schlieper, a present from Duncan when he visited. I don't know the name of the pattern unfortunately, but I really love the knife. It has a big spearpoint blade, great steel, fabulous walk and talk, everything is just right on it. Always a pleasure to carry

I really like that one, and that bead is magnificent. What is it made of?

Thank you. The lanyard is one of two sent to me by Blaine. I figured that if I put it on this knife I'd get to be minded of two great friends at the same time :)

GEC Bullnose is with me today... on that rainy, windy and cold autumn sunday. Thanks to Sarah - she gifted it to me about a year ago.

(my thumb and finger are taped and none of my knife bit me - I stupidly hit myself with an axe while processing firewood. Fortunatelly the axe was qiute dull - nevertheless it still hurts like madness... my own fault, I know)

A great knife Andi. Sorry to hear about your accident though my friend. Glad it wasn't worse. Beer is a great pain-killer! ;)
