Keeping a zippo full (and the smell) is the main reason mine has been shelved for decades.

I don't even try, just fuel it when I need it.
I might be weird, but I like the smell.

I have a love-hate with Zippo for that exact reason. Sometimes I don’t mind fiddling with them. I’ll commit to filling and using for a few days. Inevitably I then pull one to use it and find it empty and it goes back in the drawer for a penalty session

I love Zippos, but all of mine now reside in the dresser drawer. For decades, there was always one of them in the watch pocket of my jeans. I don't smoke anymore, but one of my rules is to always carry a knife, and a way to make a fire. Now I carry a Bic lighter. They're lighter, cheaper, waterproof, and much less bother.
