What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

My first GEC, it came today, a smooth ivory #15! :D

(Ignore what looks like super-heavy patina on the blade, it's just the light)

It's been eons since I last posted in here.

Today I had my old favorite #53 with me at work....and I even managed to take a quick snap.

Good to see you and the 53, Thom!

Today I carry a knife that I've had for over 35 years. It's a Mel Pardue spear point with a coffin handle, rosewood slabs, lockback. Some say lockbacks are passe. I say they are a part of an elegant and lasting past.

Very interesting and attractive combination of traditional and modern design features.

deskill, that is a great knife! I love the LB5 and need to dig mine out after seeing yours! Thanks for the pic

You're welcome and thank you.
It is a great knife. I carried one (two, actually - I lost the first one after 8 years and bought another the next day) for 35 years exclusively (not counting a Schrade 152 Sharpfinger for skinning deer and hogs during hunting season).

That's a beautiful knife you got! I carry my Sheepfoot Charlow with smooth ivory most days, it is my only GEC. I love the look of their smooth ivory. Mine patina'd nearly that much in no time at all!

Today I'm carrying my kabar pen knife. It saved me today (from going into an exam without a pencil)!
