late Christmas present, just in time for Casino Royale ;)

My Victorinox Alox Electrician came this evening (1st SAK), and went straight into my pocket after a quick stropping. Near perfect action on all four "blades," but there is a lot of light between the scales and backsprings. I do love the light weight, the feel of the checkered alox, the sunk joints and the W&T. This will see lots of pocket time.

Vic steel takes a wicked edge easily and holds better than you'd expect.

Truth. They've been doing that steel forever, and have the heat treat and finish down. I love it. For a daily user, it's great. Just a few swipes on a sharpmaker, or 2 seconds on the paper wheels, and it'll cut very well for a good while. Love the thicker blades of the Alox soldier/pioneer.

That's really surprising. Most I've handled, and those I've owned are perfect. It's made in Switzerland. They do know what they're doing.

GEC #15 and a black Cadet were with me until now.

Setup will change though, because I´ll do a little walk this afternoon in the woods... maybe a nice fixed blade along the trail... ;)

Very good bone on that 15 Andi. All the best for the Coming Year.

Still waiting for my 15 Radio Knife, sigh!

Today it will be GEC Eureka in Ivory Bone.

Thanks, Will
