What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I'm still fussing with the Tidioute #73. They did a fantastic job on the 1095. Silly thing out-cut both my Schrade OT and my Cold Steel Stockman. Dennis Strickland had said that the GEC 1095 was primo. He was right.

Carrying these today...
they went in for a bath.

Here is a very, very old (2) blade Jack Knife I've had in my pocket since Friday, last.. :)

I'd been negotiating with my friend Vince for a good while from the week or so before and finally scored her. :)

After a few stropes on either side of her blades with leather she was cutting like a champ..

This Case/Bose Dogleg can't be beat in my book unless for some reason you have to have something larger. It is my mainstay.

I like this one for my EDC
Rick Menefee modified wharncliffe The blade shape,IMO,is the best all around for a single blade knife. The 3-7/8" size is just right for me

Yikes ! That Halfrich is a real knockout, Elliott. Great color, and I love his slim double-bomb shields.

I agree with you, Greg. It's a great knife for carry/use and it takes a nice edge too.

So thats where she went :D Very good score my friend. Shes a beauty..
I almost had myself convinced to pull out a little red bone to try and do some swappin, but I couldn't bring myself to get rid of any of it...

She went to a good home. Enjoy

Thats a dandy Elliott. I don't recall ever seeing any bone done like that. I like it

Boker Large Sodbuster

It came yesterday from online auction, for a price I couldn't pass up. It was a little gritty on arrival, but after a little cleaning and oiling, it opens up nice and smooth. At 8 3/8 open and almost 4 3/4 closed, it's a handful and pocketful of knife. High Carbon steel came hairshaving sharp.

Comparison shot with a closed Case Jr. and open with a Kissing Crane and Case Jr.:

Sorry for the pics, but I am awful with the camera and my scanner is even worse, but it gives an idea of the size for those who haven't held one.

Thanx Gentlemen,

Very much obliged for the nice comments.. I can tell you that I really like this old Jack myself as well!. Letting you all know she cuts like a champ is quite the understatement too. :)
