What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

a real old 1940's - 50's colonial 4 1/4 inch 2 blade with hi-carbon steel, trapper pattern with a distinctive serpentine frame. razor sharp is an understatement.

Today I left my Spyderco at home and carried my late grandfather's Schrade Walden 8OT.

Soon, very soon, I'll be carrying my new Queen #31 two blade congress. It's still not sharp, but I've finally got a sharpen-able edge ground on the master blade, so it shouldn't be too much longer until it's sharp. Hopefully in the next week or two it'll be riding in my pocket. I can't wait.

Holy Moly James!. SHE's a Beauty!

The scales--slabs resembles the old timey slow process yellow--resin (or some such) Bernie Levine has taught us about that was employed by old style Cutlers in days gone by.. What exactly are those 'purdy' scales you have on that Trapper knife that Rick has adorned her with??

Today it is a Case Redbone Peanut with carbon steel blades. Got it from a fellow forum memeber here.

SunnyD,
That is a great looking stockman, that bone has fantastic color!

and oh yeah... I carried my new case bose norfolk again today.

You all have a very good eye for bone!. That there is a vintage Kutmaster-Utica (don't know what year exactly) in authentic and vintage "Rogers Bone"..

I do have a question if anyone can answer it that Bernie Levine didn't even know.. The (4) line stamp reads:

KUTMASTER {over} UTICA, N.Y. {over} U.S.A. {over} T

Does anybody know what the ' T ' stands for??

I'd be obliged for any ideas here.

Thanks,
Anthony

Yep, I will be sending a UPS call tag soon, get that sucker ready. ;)

Very smooth :D

I've been rackin my brain (not that there is much there) and I can't figure out what the "T" might be for. I wonder if anyone over in the Schrade s/f might have an idea? Then again if Bernard don't know, I'm not sure there is an answer for it :D
