What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks for the kind replies fellows. Much appreciated! Everything went alright, it seems. My wife will have to stay in hospital for about a week, but my son and my wife seem both to be alright - at least soon.

It was a darn long day today - I gonna have some good bavarian beer and then go to bed early. :)

Cheers (or Prost as we say here in Bavaria)

Congratulations Andi! I'm going to carry my Peanut today. In honor of your new "peanut"!

I was offline the past few days... Today at half past eight in the morning, Max was born. He weighs 4040 grams ~ 8 pounds and has a size of about half a metre.

The Blade Forums Knife was with me all the time...

Isn´t he a great great guy?!

Congrats to you and your wife!

I received this 1988 303 Cadet today from auction. The spey was all rounded off so I did some reshaping and resharpening.
Turned out good, so in the pocket it goes for a trial.

These two again, every day so far this year.

Well done and a tip of the hat. Careful though. You'll get really attached to the both and feel out of sorts if you aren't carrying each after some time together. Rotations will become a thing of the past. ;)

Congrats Andi and to your wife also. You know that knife is now his and you're just keeping it and putting some history on it for him, right? Carry the knife and when you pass it to him with some honest pocket time on it you can tell him all the stories from how you were carrying it the day he was born, to how you cut this or that for him, and all those other memories to build and pass on. Puts the tradition in traditional. ;)

Nice! The spey looks nice and pointy now :) I like the grinds on those earlier models too

Yeah, Duane, that's what I was after: flat grinds and 3 backspring, so no krinking. Not bad for $9.49 shipped.

Congrats Andi! Thanks for sharing the pic. May angels watch over Max.
