What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Congrats Andi and to your wife also. You know that knife is now his and you're just keeping it and putting some history on it for him, right? Carry the knife and when you pass it to him with some honest pocket time on it you can tell him all the stories from how you were carrying it the day he was born, to how you cut this or that for him, and all those other memories to build and pass on. Puts the tradition in traditional. ;)

Exactly! THIS knife is the one he will some day cherish as quite special.

Congratulations Andi! I'm going to carry my Peanut today. In honor of your new "peanut"!

Count me in! Imma gonna carry a Peanut for a Peanut, too! Congrats, Andi!:thumbup:

I was offline the past few days... Today at half past eight in the morning, Max was born. He weighs 4040 grams ~ 8 pounds and has a size of about half a metre.

The Blade Forums Knife was with me all the time...

Isn´t he a great great guy?!

Gratuliere mit der kleinen Humppa :thumbup: (Congrats on the little Humppa)
Will carry my Peanut as well (the Yella one) ;)

I finally decided to break in this second TC Barlow I own. I had considered saving it in pristine condition should I ever have a grandchild. After various comments from the members, I agreed that the kid would prefer one that granddad had used far more than a new one. It got a workout last evening on an orange and some blue cheese. It will see quite a bit of action through the weekend. I like the shape of this blade more than the spey on my other barlow. It's extremely practical - and this one came razor sharp from the factory.

The Norfolk Whittler is around a quarter inch longer than a Peanut, or thereabouts. Any way you look at it, it's a small knife. The mammoth bone covers feel wonderful in the hand.

Interesting sheath at the right side. Is it horizontal carry sheath?

Yes, it's a belt sheath that sits horizontally. Kniveshipfree offers both a standard size (this one) plus a larger sheath that fits my Madison Barlow extremely well. I own both. No metal parts touch the knife - it's very well designed. And the belt loop is very tight to the belt, so the sheath stays where you put it.

A bit more info from this thread: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1149178-First-Look-KSF-Large-Courier-Belt-Sheath

I'm carrying my Clip Charlow today. Also a small MOP tuxedo knife. Unfortunately I can't seem to find any pics I've taken of the latter, and can't even remember where or when I bought it! :D
