You can see some similarities in these regional knives, thanks for the great photos!
Another common element of the spread of the Navaja, was that they were often associated with wide ranging Basque Shepherds (Whose mitochondrial DNA extends all the way to Chechnya, and whose people also have a history of being Shepherds)

Hartkopf damascus lockback and the Mighty Brukskniv are with me today while working around the house :)

My Smooth chestnut bone Peanut arrived this morning along with an Amber bone medium Texas jack, so it looks as if i will be getting used to these two today especially the Texas jack, i am highly delighted with it both for fit & finish and the way it feels in the hand, together with the Amber bone "nut" i have had in my watch pocket for the last week or so in fact they look like siblings, so i think i will put the SCB "nut" with its three brothers and their Rough Rider cousin on the shelf.Did i say how much i like the Texas jack ? After a wash, lube and a touch of Ren wax it looks and feels great.
I have nearly figured out this picture posting so some dodgy pics to follow.LOL...

Jack love the Barlow and Huckleberry Finn. It doesn't get any better than that!

I've got another long day trapped inside with these two.

Jon - this Pallaresa is one of my favorite knives. Every time I hold it I imagine myself drinking some wine from one of those leather wine skins out in some arid mountainside of Spain. When you live in Cleveland, you have to have a good imagination.

Now you are just showing off......;)

My first slipjoint, just picked it up today:

Welcome to this side of the forum, glad to see ya. The Sodbuster is a great one to start out with.

I dug my calf roper out of the dresser drawer last night and am carrying it today.

I had one like that, but the bone was not near that pretty.

I'm still enjoying this one, never knew I'd attach to an EO like I have this.
