What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

eh, i'm gonna get made fun of, but i still carry my knife from cub scouts, it's like 10 years old, and still going strong

Uh uh! Nobody is going to mock you for being loyal to a knife, it's what's known as lifetime carry:thumbup:

Today, a lowly Rough Rider Old Yellow Whittler. I just can't get over that nice split back approach:D

How many of us wish we could say we still had our cub scout knife?
I sure wish I did. Carry it proudly and don't let it go.

+1 There are a few possessions from my youth that I wish I still had and my CS knife is near the top of the list. Like protourist said, use it proudly!

Here's my scout knife from around 1965 (current photo).

I don't carry it, but it gets used all the time in my basement, working on golf clubs and reloading ammo.

Boy wish I still had mine. I had a blue Cammy Cub Scout that was my prized possesion and IIRC my first brand new knife. I gotta get me another one someday. Ah well gotta make do with this for today!

Not here you won't. I lost my Cub Scout knife a long time ago.

My son's and I still drag these out for camping trips (not the Old Timer). They are fun to use.

We got a match Black Mamba.

Before reading the forum today I was digging through my knife drawer and pulled out an old scout knife to carry tomorrow.

It's stamped Ulster and I'm not really sure where it came from, but I like it. I'm debating whether or not to leave my Vic Soldier at home when I carry this one because they're almost identical patterns.

Pardon the poor quality picture... I took it several years ago.

Haven't carried it in awhile, but took my Rick Menefee Backpocket Shadow today (Green micarta) with ATS-34 Clip blade.

I don't know how old it is, but I have a green handled Scout knife that I picked up on a trade last year for my Daughter, who's in the Girl Scouts. Neat knives.

This one until Rick returns a couple from a fluff and buff.

Rick is known for his thin slicer blades, but this pen was ground down from 1/16'' stock.

Today I packed lightly: Case small Texas Jack CV in amber bone in left pocket and Victorinox Pioneer in watch pocket. Slippies rule ^^

Looks familiar, did you get that from "Navihawk"? If not, I had one of those & like it. I got rid of it to get a different pattern that I've never had (A Sowbelly Stockman) & because I have a similar pattern that I already have in my rotation (CSC Cannitler).

Very nice. I really like the color & pattern on the jigged bone.

Nope, not navihawk's. Hopefully he still has his. It's a great slicer.

The sowbelly stockman is a mighty fine pattern. The are usually pretty stout little knives. Comfortable handles, too. Enjoy!

Speaking of a "great slicer" My T. Bose shadow , that's 4" closed knife

A shadow zulu is on the top of my list as the slipjoint I would most like to get next. That is a beauty! There is something about that blade and handle that strikes me as ideal. I would probably go with something around 3 5/8" to 3 3/4" but 4" seems pocketable as well.

I've got a new one in me pocket today! It's a Moki, from Seki City, Japan. I think it's called the "Ares" model. Really nice little traditional-styled lockback, VG-10 blade steel, gorgeous jigged bone, steel liners (!!!). Great little tool, and gets compliments from the ladiezzz.
(Not my photo, obviously)
