Gerber LST, this is the folding knife that has been with me the longest. Bought it some 20 years ago. Silva compass and a powerful LED Lenser also follows me as EDC in the forests..

Busy night?

:D

I'm still waiting to see a #78 in person, and am interested in ongoing impressions of its snap, weight relative to size, etc.

No matter what, you got a (well-chosen) looker. ;)

Ha, ha. Thanks P, I pressed it straight into sous chef duty last night!

I've added some more initial thoughts to my post in the # 78 thread:)

Today is a Boker Damascus Beauty(German knifemaker Patrick Teyke design) in Damasteel and Massaranduba wood along with an sole authorship shadow by ABS Master Smith, Steve Dunn.

I have many traditional pocket knives that I really like. But for some reason, every time I pick this one up, I'm reminded that it's in a different category altogether, with only a few other slipjoints I own. And the story behind the walnut makes it all the better:

Was originally carrying a CRKT drifter today, but I can't get this knife out of my head... or my pocket :D I was going through an old memory card yesterday and found these pics. It seems to be very photogenic, and as such appears to have replaced my J Miller in being current favourite.
