Cool! Ive come to appreciate mismatched scales. I call them prototypes :-)

here are the "prototype" sawcuts on my red bone? Do you know the correct name of this color? And do you know which sawcut pattern came on which release, is the coarse one from the first run PPP of 2012, and the fine one from the second run of March 2013? Shown next to a 2013 Soupbone with the fine sawcut.

Im wondering if this pile side coarse cut is from the 1st run (not even sure the red bone was issued in first run), and is the mark side fine cut from the 2nd run? I really like the variation.

and while I have your attention, I tried to google out what your handle pertinux means, but only found a flycatcher named Pertinax.. same bird?:-) Thanks for the great pics too!
