ok thanks
was honestly wondering what the pull was that lent you to carrying two such similarly sized sized (ESPECIALLY little 'uns) like that
must have something you like :p

i ask cause i am feeling redundant carrying a pioneer and a texas jack at the same time, they both so similar in size that i am wondering why i would do that, after march 1st i may just swap to the boker pen for some differences in blade size ..i dunno yet

I never find smaller blades to be limiting, rather the opposite offering greater control for detail work, even when carrying stockman, jacks, whittlers, or congress knives, I'll use the secondary blades more often, carrying two smaller sized knives takes up no pocket space or added bulk and provides utility. Example yesterday I was making a jig/template for something I was working on, I was using scrap wood and needed to clean some old paint off a squared edge, I used the peanuts thin clip blade to get a nice clean edge and to keep the template true, later on in the day my daughter wanted some apple slices my Eisenhower was clean and contaminate free. I always carry two or three knives depending on what I plan on doing on any given day. My peanut goes in my watch/coin pocket with my zippo, my front or back right pocket has my larger knife choice and my left front or shirt pocket either a pen type knife or a Vic director. Another added bonus is whichever hand is free I can dive into either pocket.

After the arrival of the Swayback Jack yesterday i thought the faithfull Chestnut Bone Peanut would be having a bit of a rest but they seem to have bonded and besides the SBJ does not fit as snugly in the watch pocket of the jeans i am currently wearing..

Very nice, Kris! That burl looks particularly good.

Kris, love how you pair up a fixed blade with a folder ... makes me want more fixed blades!

Pretty cold for pictures today but I have been neglecting this fine slimline Brewer too long.

Strange angle but wanted to show the filework.

Coming from a hunting background I always like a knife with a guard, to protect my fingers from slipping up onto the blade. Because of this, I have always liked the copperhead bolster on a pocket knife. I also like stockmen, and see the combo of a clip and sheepfoot as covering about all the bases, but it defeats the purpose of the copperhead bolster if there is a second blade there when using the other one. So in a single blade, I have decided the zulu spear is the most practical, with a slight belly for push cutting, a pretty straight edge for precision draw cuts, and a narrow point to get into places easily. I'm unaware of anyone who has made this combo, so I did my own. I bought a cheap Steel Warrior copperlock with clip point, and reground it into a zulu. Been carrying it for a few days now, and it works very well, I like the mod.
