Looking good, John.

Thanks Kris, your pairings inspired me to try some of the same.

You have some fantastic knives John, and those are two exquisite pieces!

Thanks Erik, my current favorite pair. I use the desk knife all the time and love the texture of stag in hand. Am a little surprised more folks don't talk about the Case desk knife more as it is available in 154CM, same as collaborations.

Pretty good but it's no Douk Douk. At least this one isn't. Its very slim, light and sharp. I have no issues with light use. It's a fantastic slicer.

thanks. was thinking those non-locking mercators are a lot like a douk douk. i think they make a model with a similar blade to the mercator, the 'squirrel' maybe?

every day this one is in my watch pocket...

Very nice!
Its apparently actually in your Barlow Pocket

Barlow trivia:

"Do you know that the small pocket stitched into the right hand pocket of Levi Jeans used to be called the Barlow pocket? ...I first heard about this Barlow pocket back in the late 1960s from a representative of F.G.Gertler, the original British importers of Levi jeans."

Im not wearing jeans but I do have a Barlow in my pocket :-)
