Taking the wife out for dinner. It's the anniversary of our engagement (apparently this is a thing too now?!?!) so I'm taking this one with me. It was my grandfathers on my mothers side and lived in his writing desk.

I expect it's Chinese, he spent most of his working life in China as a missionary.

Your pictures brings back so many memories when I was a kid training to be a baseball player. Baseball camp, Little League, my father as a coach. I met Ted one day and got his autograph. Its funny how a picture can bring it all flooding back. That teardrop is just perfect!

Thanks, Pjake.

Thanks Gev....all of my serialized GEC's are named after Red Sox players.....my Outlaw Jack is serialized 24.....and although Willie Mays is my favorite baseball player of all time, its name is Dewey after the best right fielder ever to patrol right field at Fenway. I did get to see Ted play at the tail end of his career.

Your pics of late have been particularly awesome!

Love the knife, love the earrings and you just gotta love that stump :D and of course the dragonfly ;)

Thanks, Paul!! The new "stump" is an old cottonwood that was hit by lightning and had to be cut down. Lot of memories from that tree, so I asked the tree cutter to cut me a 7" thick slab. Its about 33" in dia. Talk about heavy ....but it was worth it.
