What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Very nice Will, is that horn?

Where is that bridge? It reminds me of toledo. Beautiful picture.

It's in Knaresborough in North Yorkshire. Here's a pic showing its role as a railway viaduct. Both shots are taken from Knaresborough Castle :)

It is a Rodgers from Sheffield, Jack! I'll bet you had guessed that.

It's not really that special, but they are impossible to find in North America. And I love stag handles!

The Marmite is the secret of my special pipe tobacco recipe.
;)

Thanks for the pics Scott. I've not seen one like that on sale even over here. Sorry to read (in your Pipe Knife thread post) about the flaws, but it looks impressive :)

My F. Hartkopf Stag lockback ... it´s great how far some knives become favorites :)

Awesome!...good to see the Lloyd my friend, but the other knives are just fantastic!

Great stuff my friend - great knives!!

A sweet old Ulster from Duncan helped me make something dangle-ly for Sue

My good friend - man Sue is going to be so so rapt, mind you she might get too excited when she hears that something dangly is waiting for her!

Today I tossed this early 20s Graef & Schmidt bone handled Jack Knife into my pocket for the day, is actually a day of no doctors, therapy, pharmacy or cars that aren't running, a day to hang out and try to pay bills, this'll be perfect for slicing envelopes open... :)

I rescued this blade from the basement, it was rusted shut, covered with old paint, (looked like someone used it to open cans with and mix paint with, then threw it in the tool box for 80 years.)

After a lot of elbow grease and some blade reprofiling this is what I found.

This week I've been carrying a Buck 301. A couple of days ago I was thankful for it being my work knife of choice for the week, after it slipped from hand, falling 3 feet onto the concrete shop floor. It didn't faze it a bit. Glad this happened when carrying the humble but tough 301 and wasn't carrying last weeks edc, a 42 Missouri Trapper in stag. Buck 301, one tough working knife, that will work all day without a break.

Yes Jack, it's Horn but in reality it's a right rough knife!

Nice shot of Knaresborough, be good to have a place there looking at that, some really fine trees there too.

Thanks, Will

Beautiful!

OOOHHHH! Primitive Bone I assume? That stuff can best stag in my view.

But what's that pattern please? Half-Whitt?? Nice diamond dog above it too!

Thanks, Will

This #72 is right up there with the Viper for me these days - both are 3-3/4" which I really like, and both are single-blade, making for a nice, slim pocket carry for their size.

Sorry to hear that Will. Yeah, Knaresborough is a pretty nice place to visit :)

I'm carrying these two again today, as yesterday in the Yorkshire Dales :)
