What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

The Sun is shining
The cold wind in blowing
His eyes hold lipstick red
His mind is not listening
The other with charm to sway
His left hand holds his right
What does that hand desire
That he grips it so tight
Joni Mitchell (kinda)

Really liking your stag toothpick Gevonovich - who made it??

Primble,

I seem to have missed your grand entry, but as I view the above this seems as good a moment as any to wish you a hearty Welcome.

My scattered attempts at catching up reveal that you have great taste in knives, and a knack for photographing them to good advantage. I'm glad you're here. :)

Thank you Pertinux. I appreciate the welcome.:)

Also thank you Pmew.:)

Imagine whipping that out to impress your friends or co workers.. :)

Im a bit embarrassed to admit it but i broke that knife today. I got it yesterday, and tried to clean and sharpen it up. I discovered that the main blade had so much twist in it, it could not be sharpened on a flat stone. I wrongly thought i might be able to straighten it. Oh well.

I switched to these 2 for the weekend. Cypress stump handled, vine file worked and tip swedge added to this Sod Jr. and the Sheepfoot Barlow

I got my Ben Hogan back from titusville! Pretty darn quick, but I am only like an hour away. It's so great to carry and use it, especially at my dad's (he gave it to me). I wonder what the heck was inn the pizza he made though:

I got this rough rider to see how I like gunstock patterns.

First off, for like $8 shipped, this is a super well made knife. Centered blades, even springs, good action, even grinds and edges. But it needed something:

So less than ten minutes later and I have a clip main and sheepfoot secondary. Pretty happy with it.

My internet connection has been so bad these past few days that I've been unable to post. Mainly been carrying this Queen Canoe.

Glad to see you carrying it Jack, I just couldn't get on with it, I don't know why. :)

I've carried it most of the week Paul, the pattern has grown on me, no doubt encouraged by this beautifully executed example. Thanks again my friend

Got the #15 without an edge yesterday ... this had to be changed so I put out my stones and added a hairwhittling sharp edge on that buddy

... and as a fixed blade in my working pants the PUMA Jadnicker (the one on the right side)

Andi, that's some great looking ebony on your cap lifter!

The 47 is joining my Taramundi for a little trip to the flea market today...
