What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks. The antler is from the first deer I ever got. I've been using it for years on little projects. I even made a little pocket knife and used the antlers for the covers. I gave it to my dad. He was really pleased with it. I wish I had taken a picture of it, but I never did and we buried him with it a few years ago. It made me really proud he liked it so much. :)

Love the beads, and the story is even better. You're right to be proud.

Scruffuk gave me this as a present some months back, I cary and use it a lot. Horn handled linerless slipjoint with stainless blade, the horn has darkened quite a bit with use .Great food knife, many thanks to Thom:thumbup:

Think I will tote the new Charlow today. I am impressed with the quality.

I'll echo what others have said Primble...great knife and picture:thumbup:

Paul, These last two are the best pics you've taken (and all have been stunning) of the HJ. You really captured the luminescence inherent in the Tomato Acrylic. Well done, sir.

Very nice, hoppes! What's the pull like on those? Burnside, correct?

Yes, Burnside. Snap was kinda meh when I first got it, but it was suggested that I try flushing it out with mineral oil, and now it's just fine. Take it with a grain of salt, but compared to my other knives it's middle-of-the road pull -- certainly not a nail-breaker, but firm.

Oh, and I can pinch it open, which is nice.

Thanks for the input. I've had my eye on them, and that helps.

Today I carried my #85 EZ Open Jack in natural stag. I flitzed the blade recently. Thought it would be fun to start over with the patina.
