What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

The #15 again today... the caplifter got almost used - worked great on several bottles :p Now I need to get some work for the blade ;)

My internet connection has been so bad these past few days that I've been unable to post. Mainly been carrying this Queen Canoe.

That sure is a beauty Jack  love the photo, and hope your internet service improves...

Andi, that is a great looking etch, and the ebony is just beautiful on that knife

Thanks for the kind words, Duane - much appreciated, my friend!

The etch is neat, indeed - but will disappear during time and using this nice and well made knife :)

I like ebony pretty much. I really like the one with the brighter inlays that make such a great grain - the dark-black one is nice as well, but I like the shades and grain much more. The silky and smooth of this wood is just awesome. I got a Hartkopf Lockback with ebony as well and it´s pretty dark, I think the ebony that GEC is using is nicer than the one Hartkopf uses.

The yellow synthetic just works on this knife IMO

I'm with you there Andi, the Ebony on my #73 has wonderful almost pink streaks running through it. You're pic's are soothing the wait for my radio jack:)

Thanks Sam! You won´t regret - a caplifter is a great tool. Grilling season begins in a couple of weeks and there is always use for a caplifter and a blade :D

Your swayback is a fine piece of cutlery. WOW!

Pulled this Case small Coke Bottle out of my footlocker to take a better picture - think I'll carry it today (it was my EDC for about six years). OH

I got up early to exercise (I exercise every other day) and then outside on the deck for meditation. It's finally warm enough and dry enough in Cleveland to be outside.

Many thanks to one of our forum friends for the gift of this fantastic incense.

Great picture and knife, Andy!!

Thanks! This knife does not get the use it deserves. It's a fine knife - great weight, wonderful snap from the backspring. Extremely sharp blades. No play on either blade. And the blue color is really splendid. I must have it in my pocket more often.

Are there any Case aficionados out there who know how the canoe got its name? Was it that someone at Case said to himself "You know, I think I'll make a knife that looks like a canoe." Or did someone come up with a design, hold it in his hand, and say to himself "Woah, that looks like a canoe. I think I'll call it that."

Andi, I have the Radio Jack with the diamond shield but that clean look of the Cap Lifter is very nice:thumbup:

I agree Spameater, yellow peanut equals classic;)

Swayback today

Sam I love the Swayback, such a terrific knife but I love the post on which you took the picture:thumbup: My wife thinks I'm odd because I notice things like that:o

Very wet and stormy again today so just this one in a necker.

That's a great pic SAK Guy!!!

There is just something about the old cross SAKs that just get me going. Sadly I don't own any....yet :D

Here is a crappy pic of mine today.

I like the simple leather fob/lanyard digital, a clean look:thumbup:

Thanks for the kind words, Paul - much appreciated. The clear and clean lines of this #15 is just great. On some patterns the shield is a little disturbing. The diamond shield is just great and in combination with the barehead construction a real eyecatcher, though. :)

Happy Birthday Jon Slider

Thanks Pete, and everyone else. I am very grateful for the warmth and friendship we share, our knives are just an excuse to show human kindness.

This Camillus is with me today, my first, a gift from Pete that makes me feel appreciated every time I look at it:
