That's a great looking FB Gary!! The WT is no slouch either :)

That sure is a fine lookin' pair. I don't get to see many of the stag annuals from Case/Bose.

Great combo Gary, love the FB...I see three dog like faces in my minds eye each time you show that beauty, awesome piece of wood!

Thanks guys! I know I've posted that Foster many times but it still ends up on my belt more then the others.

Stag on Case knives can be iffy, even on the Case/Bose annuals. I got lucky this year. The knife is in my pocket way more then anything else I have.

That California Buckeye burl wood has gotten more comments then I can remember. It's some wild looking wood. I just looked at it again and noticed another little face!

Indeed Gary - I can see a face in the wood ... looks like a little ape to me. What a great and wonderful knife :)

Thanks Andi. I didn't say what I was seeing, just in case I was hallucinating ;). I'm glad you see a little ape too!

Working on the little launch boat this morning, and playing with perspective (both in-head and in-camera... ;) ).

Near and far.

You are not alone, Duane. I also thought it would be an owl, but instead it reminded me on a little ape´s face :) Quiete cute, if you ask me :D

Funny Gary, I see an owl on the right, and a raven with a white bill to the left:eek:
The owl fleetingly crossed my mind too. I figured if I said it, then I'd have to send it to Sarah! So I don't see any owl.....;)

And with that, I thought I remembered a 'gotcha,' except: notice how very careful you were, even previously(!):

Great lookin' knives guys.
I have so many it's hard to pick one favorite. This one Burt Foster made for me is right at the top of the pile though.

Geez, that's beautiful! Help me on the handle material.

The handle on that one is some really wild California Buckeye burl wood. The blade is 220 layer O-1 and 15N20 forged ladder pattern Damascus.

I, too, always enjoy seeing that knife. Looks like a passel of artistically rendered owls on the handle. :)

There's a whole lot going on in that handle, Sarah.

You didn't actually say.

So close, and yet so far. ;)

:D
