What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Mornin guys

A little light Sunday morning reading? :D

Love that book. Well, maybe "love" isn't the right word, but I think it's one of the most amazing pieces of writing I've ever come across.

I'm headed out camping/hunting for a couple days, taking these two with me:

A blessed and joyous Easter to all my BFC brothers and sisters! The Bulldog pearl went to service this morning.

Great read! Second time going through it.

I indeed love this book--I've read it about six times in the last couple of years and plan to write about in in the manuscript I'm working on (I'm a political philosophy professor)... The Judge is an amazing character, and the narrative is nothing short of Homeric/ epic...

The prose in Blood Meridian is disgustingly (as in arousing revulsion or strong indignation) beautiful - (or beautifully disgusting) - a true work of art. I quit it after four chapters and was drawn back to it by a persistent and haunting emptiness it left in its ocean liner-sized wake.
