What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I really like that small 'un Gary. Ohta has not only real skill but versatility too. I'm hoping to get another one of his knives later this year, a Japanese traditional style.

Thanks, Will

I look forward to seeing it, Will.

Just got home from the ball park. Carried this today. Not the 'prettiest' knife I own, but its more than capable of handling anything I can throw at it.

Today, this little knife bounced out of the mail truck and into my hands.
It's one of the Queen City economy-range knives that Queen put out a few years back, in black or yellow jigged delrin and "wine wood" (lol). This is my first gunstock, and my only "Yeller" knife, aside from my grandfather's old shell-wrap fishing knife (which doesn't get carried...).
For a $35 knife, this one is a real home run. Half stops with springs that are purt-near flush in all 3 positions, amazing walk & talk, no gaps or bends, beautifully ground blades with drawn swedges on both sides, 1095 steel, pile side pen - and a nice large one at that... Even came out of the box with a serviceable edge on both blades! I'm pumped!!!
She may not win any beauty pageants, standing next to a nice wood or bone, but darn nice in my eyes. Super-duper value, great bang for the buck.
Thanks to Mike at CK.net!

That looks like a high quality grind job, on both blades, and your pics show it to great advantage. I like Queens's rendition of the gunstock pattern better than those of any other maker. My Queen Gunstock in D2 is the Queen of all my Queens (I just got lucky when I bought it, sight unseen), with the best fit and finish of any of them and the best walk and talk of any traditional knife I own. It's definitely in my top five traditional carries. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.
Delrin also accepts dye very well, if you wish to change the color. ;)

Good to see you, my friend!! I hope that service provider gets things sorted out!! I know how frustrating that can be. Great looking old knife!

Getting dropped into a digital oubliette is maddening....always glad when you make it back to us Jack! Classic knife!!!!

Thanks a lot guys :) just taken me 2 hours to post my latest Quest report with my IPad Mini! :grumpy:

Just showed up today and I am impressed. Couldn't be happier. I just need to get it outside for some real photos.
