  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

That's a huge blast from the past for me. Man, I lusted after those brass-and-wood Gerbers when I was a kid.

yeah, a lot of the old Gerbers were put together so well you couldn't tell where the blade and spring met. no gaps anywhere.
That's all gone to heck in a handbag...

Today I'm carrying my Eddie White/Shadow knives giraffe bone small hunter and my oh-so-mysterious razor barlow, maker unknown. A handy pair, indeed.

I love those old Gerbers, ROOKnine!

That Hidalgo is exemplary, Kris!

For the last few days I've been carrying my $1 swap meet find. A 1950s-60s Kutmaster "STAINLESS HANDLE" Equal End Jack. I found this knife on a table full of Chinese pocket knives it was covered in old grease, after wiping it off and spraying it with some Brake Klean this is what I would up with..

Holy moly, I love the Nealy Drop Point I have to stop up at Bud's shop never time I go to s Stroudsburg, (which is at least 2-3 times a week.

From Primble: "I like that blade and am wondering if the handles are original? Nice.:)"

Good eye Primble. :) I replaced the broken/cracked original bone covers with new red bone. I also removed the broken pen blade to make it a single blade. It has great walk and talk and should last another fifty years.......course I won't be around then.

Question for you sir. What do you use to keep your bone handled knives looking so good? :D

Thanks,
Mark
