Puma came out with these a while back...blades are German but everything else is china...
For $10 it's been a good user...sharpened up good...don't have to worry about losing or breaking it

The light catches this one ooooooh so nicely!

FOR MY 500th POST
MY SPECIAL PRIMBLE KNIFE:

John Primble India Steel Works English Steel Hand Forged bone bare headed Jack Knife, circa 1930's-1940's.
Also features a long pull match strike master blade, 3 and 1/2 inches closed, and pretty reddish-brown jigged bone handles.
I posted four more photos and some more narrative about this ole knife in the Old Knife Thread, if you are interested.

Have a good day! :)

Primble, that is definitely worthy of a 500 post picture. Such a beauty, and it's so...YOU :D

I had this for wooden wednesday,

then used it to open this which arrived in the post.

That new one is a looker, can't wait to see more pictures of it!

That is a "tough" looking knife Andi! Looks like it could handle anything it runs into!:thumbup:

well if you insist...

I really like the pile side jigging

it is a Friedrich Olbertz small stockman (3.25 inch) and if you are unfamilier, here's the tang stamp.

Thanks my friend :)

It´s actually a real workinghorse with very strong springs (not calling them stiff) but they are under extreme tension :D The blades are full and that C75 carbon steel takes a razor edge.

Unfortunatelly it wasn´t that fine when I purchased it. It had bad blade wobble and some gaps you could really look through. So I sent it back and after a week of wait it appeared the way it is right now. Tough and strong. I like it.

I went all in for Wooden Wednesday. Although after putting the Scout in my pocket, I realized that I need to spend a little time working the edge on it.

Great looking knife, Paul. How do you like it?

Thanks Andi, so far so good. Very pleasing snap to the blades and it actually came very sharp (which I'm not used to with new traditionals). I wasn't really sure what I would be getting because my German is next to nonexistent and google translate doesn't seem to understand traditional knife terminology. But I am pleased with it. I love that long slim clip main, very elegant. :)

Glad you like it Paul - if you need a german translator - I could help you out (hopefully) - JFYI
