I had the priveledge of seeing these wonderful pieces yesterday..NZ WW 1 service medals served in Egypt and Gallipoli by two brothers (Pollards)..One of which was the first into Jericho as cavalry..Both these brothers were survivors of Chunuk Bair and were gifted farmland by the Government for their services...An honor to know the progeny of these brave men..Lest we forget...............FES

Great picture Jack, wonderful colours!

- today I have this stunning J. A. Henckels which was kindly gifted to me by Primble after I marvelled at his picture of it in this thread. I think he knew I'd love it before he even posted it, I'm a fiend for congress patterns ;)

Thanks Primble,

Paul

Love that pic Andy!!!! :thumbup::thumbup:

Thanks! Perhaps sad to say that the closest I've come to the military is a Swiss Army Knife. The military was something we just never discussed in my family as I was growing up. You went to college and then grad school. End of discussion. And though I have never served, I do respect and hold a deep appreciation for those who have sacrificed so much that we may have so much.
