Such a pretty picture deserves another look.

I was having a lousy day. My tractor, which I need yesterday, is waiting for my starter to be rebuilt, I'm out of goat chow, and the feed mill where I usually go is closed, but the second feed store I went to had this deal, and I can tell you it sure made me smile. I'm still smiling, as a matter of fact.

For us knife knuts, there is nothing like a new knife to put a spring in our step and a smile on our face.

Got a Buck 301 in my pocket tonight. Probably overcompensating for the tiny Buck 305 I carry everyday at work.

I need to buy me a 301 but do they make a yellow one?

They used to, they were discontinued ( I think) this year...you can still find them on the open/ secondary market, get one while you can ;)
Today I carried my looking glass Powderhorn:

I just laid about the house with my Higo today.

Hope you got some rest on your sick day, at least you have an awesome looking knife with you. I have heard they get loose quick, has yours done this?

As for my carry, I've carried only one folding knife each day for the past few (which is rare for me). The day before yesterday I carried my Ben Hogan for some fishing and general usage:

Caught a couple okay ones, just a few miles from my house. They were tasty:

The next day I carried my Magnum and Outdoorsman Pro, and again they were used on some trout (no catching, just eating):

And then today I carried my good old Charlow (my first traditional purchase) for some weed eating. I accidentally hit two frogs, and not believing in wasting, used the charlow to prepare the legs for an addition to lunch. I also fished some, and it helped with that, but only caught a little bass:

And all of them have made several smoothies each during their respective days of carry.

I'm carrying this beautiful old Thomas Turner pen knife that Jack Black gifted me. A terrific little knife from a wonderful storyteller and a very generous gentleman. :)

You're too kind Stephen :)

I'm carrying one of my favourites today, the lovely old Boker Jack Paul H sent me a while back, sitting in the pocket sheath I won in Barry's generous giveaway :)

This one can't seem to leave my pocket... its finally starting to develop a nice patina on the blade and the bronze!

Vic Explorer. I added the mini screwdriver and stuck a straight pin in the scales to fully deck it out. Yes, it's a bit bulky for dress pants. Yes, it's heavier than the Walnut Opinel 6 I carried yesterday. But some days knives just scream out to be carried, and today was the Explorer's day.
