Spent a few hours on the trout stream today. Didn't catch a darn thing but that's ok. It's a gorgeous day to be out.

It does after a while, depends on steel how long it lasts ( in my experience)

Does the taste ever go away once the blade is patina'd?

I fear this blade will not get patina'd the way other blades do - it´s made of 440C steel so it will be hard if not impossible to get patina on it. But if it could, it would look great.

Great looking eels, FES they look actually pretty delicious. Have never ate smoked eels but smoked trout is delicious ...
