What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thought I'd combine a lunchtime pint with catching up here. Just realised I forgot my specs! :(

I just love those sheepsfoot blades. More info on this knife please.

It's a GEC Congress Jack with white micarta scales, sheepsfoot main blade and a pen secondary made from high carbon steel, (1095 IIRC) theses knives and this pattern were designed by the members here at BFC, made by GEC specifically for the Traditional forum's members, with our own BFC 10 dot stamp for dating the knives.

Out of 8 knives we've had made this is one of my favorites, (I say that every year ;) )

. . . . . this . . .

. . . . my only KK and a tribute post for 9blades.

;):p;)

Later! Hopefully I'll get some picture when the sun starts to rise, and a little later...the lighting is positively dreadful at 3:00 AM! Gev and you came to mind when this came in the mail by the way, you two always seem to have beautiful old caramel bone floating around!

Well - OK sir - it comes as little comfort after I tossed and turned all night, wondering what that ole Keen Kutter really looked like.:yawn::yawn::yawn:

I suppose all is forgiven and your comments were appreciated.:yawn::yawn::yawn:

:)

Jack - I really like the ebony teardrop! I think you might have "a thing" for those ebony handles.;)

Oh BTW I forgot to mention, today's knife and the one I've been carrying for the last few days is a 70s Queen Peanut in faux Winterbottom Bone Scales.

I don't have an individual pic of mine but here's a pic of someone else's but mine looks identical except my one scale has a slight crack in the scale by the rear pin.

Thanks for the info. Appreciate it. Now I wish I'd joined this forum much earlier.

Borrowed a picture from a friend here, hope he doesn't mind :) his family shot was better than mine but anyway just to let you see what you've been missing, here's all the traditional forum's knives starting with 2006 up to last year's 2013, it's never to late to start with this year's knife. ;)

What a great, diverse collection. Good work BF members.

Wouldn't miss out on this year's knife for all the candy in the world! Already ordered and paid for one.
Of all the trad forum knives shown, I like the 2013 one best. That long sheepsfoot really screams out to me. Dunno why I'm on a sheepie and (less so)wharnie kick currently but I'm hunting those down -especially single blades!

Hmmm...what do we have here? ;) :D

OK sir - you have now reprieved yourself very well here! The colors on the bone are wonderful - in my opinion - a knife with great character!:eek:

Nice full blades on your Keen Kutter too!

Makes me wonder if the GEC Boys Knife was derived from this ole knife??

P.S. - I will try to do the same, in a few days . . . . . or weeks, . . . . . . or months.:D

     :D

Deskil - that is a sweet Saddlehorn!
