on my porch.

Thanks. Sadly, they use swipe cards on the NY subway, now. I pulled those old tokens out for the picture as an homage to some guy who takes the nicest knife/coin photos.........;)

I thought they might be old, however, I remembered you taking a trip to NYC a short time ago. I suppose my 2+2 did not add up quite correctly. I think those old tokens are pretty neat and they added to your picture.:)

Robert B. - I like your picture and love your BF Easy Opener!

Great choice SH - two quality knives there! ;)

I am honored Gevo! That is a great ole Primble - the bone colors reminds me of my Primble India Steel Works knife. Looks like this one got used quite often, but, not abused. I especially liked the evidence of everyday use on the full blades. I also admired your old NYKC and Schrade from yesterday, as well.:)

Jennifer,
That is a really nice leather pouch and a quite elegant little knife, as well!:)

Love the blade and finish on this piece!:)

I carried my TC African Blackwood "Days Work" today:

Hello I am new to this forum and would like to ask where guys are buying the wonderful traditional style knives? Thanks in advance.

Welcome, Dos!

The brand you are looking for is Great Eastern Cutlery. They make both the Tidioute and Northfield knife brands (among others). The knife pictured there is a Day's Work Barlow, which is a pretty rare one, but you can still find them for sale if you look hard enough. ;)

thank you phillll. I will google them.

EDIT...WOW they make some beautiful stuff. I'm gonna get in trouble here. ;)

Headed to the hospital today for a followup so the TC Barlow that was gifted by Chief is following me. Need something to occupy my fingers during the long wait.

You seem to have pretty small railroads over there, in the UK - Jack ;) :p

Great pics, my friend!

LOL! Yeah! I've always admired the railroad pics others post, and found this miniature railroad on one of my walks :D

Thanks Andi

Böker Whittler is with me today ... :)

Aha! THAT looks sort of familiar:D:cool: Very nice setting too for the knife, great work Andi! Inspired me to carry a Böker myself today: Large Stockman in Appoloosa Bone, an unusual colour on this handle that's similar to the horse I suppose. Have a Whittler in the same bone, note the different shield from the Böker norm. Thanks, Will.

Thanks for the kind words, Will. The Whittler quickly became a steady companion in my EDC rotation and I carry it frequetly. Really love that wonderful knife. The classic sheath is a wonderful addition to any collection. Most of my knives fit in there. :D

The Large Stockman you are showing is an amazing knife. The nice bone is a looker for sure.

Shapleigh's Keen Kutter today. Almost worn away but it begs to be carried every now and again. It would be a shame to let that history sit in a drawer somewhere. I'm gentle with her but refuse not to use her.

Thanks Andi

I trust you'll follow that track in each direction and tell us here it goes. I wonder if it's a big toy or a small worker. Reminds me of Mrs Peel of course.

That is a very very nice ole Keen Kutter, with a lot of life left in her, worn in all the right places. Very beautiful!

Your gentle use of it makes it all the better. ;)
