What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Last years forum knife and my pocket watch are wth me again.

I put my knife of the day in my pocket, sit down with my morning coffee, and check out this thread. Second time in a week Papa Andi matches me. No pocket watch, though. :)

My old Schrade Cut. Co. "Gevo Knife" today - at least it always makes me think of him - when I carry it. ;)

Similar to your carry choice for today (which is gorgeous by the way :)), its a Schrade Cut. Co. This one is a 3 3/8" Sleeveboard. The tang stamp is three lines: Schrade over Cut.Co. over Walden,N.Y. I believe that stamp was used between 1917 - 1946. The blades show some pitting and scratches, but aside from that, its in good shape. As you might know, I'm a fan of old bone scales and these I think are very nice, at least as far as my collection is concerned. ;) Here's a few more pictures if you're interested.

I kind of thought Schrade - just had to know for sure! ;):D Thanks for the comment and for the extra looks - always interested in an old knife.

Almost forgot to say - your old Schrade Cut. Co. is quite wonderful!:)

I almost had that one Stephen, but I was golfing when the bidding ended. Oh well, glad you got it and I can still look at it. :D

Wow, what a stunning OVB! My apologies for beating you out on the Schrade, but I was quite happy to win it. ;) Your Hibbard Spencer & Bartlett is quite the consolation prize though. Beautiful!

Thank you Stephen and no apology needed, I'm glad to see that you have it. ;) :)
