What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Had to Bullnose my way through a few strawberries for my 16 month daughter's snack. Of course, I had some as well.

This old Boker still, but I got a Robeson barehead in that once it gets cleaned up a bit, will be a real good carry.

Similar to your carry choice for today (which is gorgeous by the way :)), its a Schrade Cut. Co. This one is a 3 3/8" Sleeveboard. The tang stamp is three lines: Schrade over Cut.Co. over Walden,N.Y. I believe that stamp was used between 1917 - 1946. The blades show some pitting and scratches, but aside from that, its in good shape. As you might know, I'm a fan of old bone scales and these I think are very nice, at least as far as my collection is concerned. ;) Here's a few more pictures if you're interested.

I like your choice of reading material. McCullough and Morris are two of my favorite history authors.

I have read Meachem's work on Jefferson and Andrew Jackson but I do not care for his writing style.

Agreed on Meacham's writing style. I enjoyed his book on Jackson slightly more than Jefferson (although I find Jefferson immensely fascinating). It took me a while to finish reading his work on Jefferson because I just couldn't get into it. In order to bring things back around to traditional knives, however, here's a picture of one of Jefferson's pocket knives. My understanding is that Jefferson likely would've carried it in one of his coat pockets.

Carrying this Brent Cramer Lanny's Clip Jr. today. It was along for some Blackberry picking this morning.

Dang Gary, that LC Jr is fantastic! Blackberries look good too!

Thanks, Erik! Mr. Cramer makes a wonderful knife.
The Blackberries were a great addition to my bowl of Cheerios this morning.

Left the house to go to the bank, like you do, and stumbled upon a local Case dealer...I didn't end up making it to the bank, but I did come home with a nice little stag peanut. This makes my fifth peanut, I reckon it's time to pledge to the cult.

Couple of swipes on the stones and it's screaming sharp. I'm gonna carry this one for awhile and see how the stag and SS ages.

Gevonovich,
Looks like more Schrade goodness! Fine pic too!:)

eschwebach, Markesharp, and Barry.
Beautiful pictures of beautiful knives gents!

Gary,

I really like that knife!
Those blackberries would also go very nicely with some vanilla ice cream!:thumbup::)

Why thank you, Primble! It's an old Cut Co moose or muskrat. One nice slim clip and a shorter stout fatty. Single spring.

I am still drooling over Gary's masterpiece!

I like my Case Sodbuster Jr so much, I just had to try the GEC Bull Nose.
It's in the pocket today.
