I love that stockman.
I just got this old timer today. The rust spots kept the bidding low, but it's cleaning up great. On a knife this small, the term"bear trap" seems silly. Mouse trap maybe.

Thanks it's been part of my regular carry for a bit, I've always been a fan of knives with a awl/punch blade, nice Old Timer I was lucky and found a new Ulster Old Timer about two months ago.

It's the main blade shape I love most about that knife, the way it follows the contours of the handle when closed. I nearly bought an uncle Henry, with a similar shape. If only it were 1095. I think one of those cases will be the way to go.
If I could find an o.t., shaped like that, I would be delighted. But I suppose it is the hunt that makes knife collecting so interesting.

Same knife today.

This wonderful setup for today - two wonderful I was gifted by two friends here on BFC :)

Thanks Duane & Thom!

Great stuff Andi

Great shot of a sweet knife, Paul!

Great combination Gev, I need to get that little feller out of the drawer

I've been out on a long hike in blistering sunshine today. Haven't uploaded pics from my camera yet, but I was carrying two of my favourites, gifted to me by Scruff and Duncan :)

Carried these today:

The Zippo slim was kind of a spontaneous purchase in that I didn't intend to buy it going into the store, but not in that I've wanted one for a few years.

I dropped the Case micro trapper somewhere in between going to and getting back from a Tball game. Went back and somehow walked a straight line directly to it in the high grass covered parking area. Pretty amazingly lucky.

Got there two Queen made Robeson Mastercraft knives earlier this week and they have been in my pockets ever since. The stockman is a 4" with a wonderfully slim muskrat clip main, sheepsfoot, and drop point secondaries.
