Thank you, Linus! Yes it is a spey or budding blade. The pattern is a Farmers Jack. This thread, started by Lyle ( The resident master ) shows off his collection of the pattern. Enjoy

You got a very nice one S. ,a lot nicer than my first one. Great work on restoring it,Primble is doing what us traditionalists like, and you too .

Primble was right,I think that knife has hardly been used. Some of the Sheffield knives I have; have that almost brass look to the nickle silver.I think it could have something to do with the copper, nickle, zinc? mixture ??

You need to post it in the FJ thread, congratulations it's a beaute, and I would certainly be proud to own it.

My new #72, I love this knife. Look at those scales! On a production knife no less. I am a happy man. :D

I love the looks of that one too Erik - just a real beauty and nicely pictured!;):)

Nice Scout, Primble!

With me today;
Thank you Gary and those two knives you are totin' today are super - as usual!;)

Thank you very much sir  I kind of missed the Scout, but it looks like a great pattern. I'm sure that when you call them in at the end of the day, the Charlows will come home looking well-grazed and happy ;)

Thank you for the comment Jack and I sure hope they will.:D

xceptnl - Nice simple knife with clean lines!:)

I'm getting ready to head out camping for a few days. I think I have the camp basics covered

Thanks, Lyle! I am really enjoying it! I will get some more pictures and post it in the FJ thread.

Gevonovich - I'm still fascinated by that one. Just an outstanding knife. Thanks for the additional pictures!

Jack - very nice photo today.

Paul - another terrific photo. The '13 is always a great choice. Hope the scan went well.

xceptnl - lovely scales with lots of character.

Erik - Wow, that's just magnificent! You hit the lottery with that 72.

Primble - That Scout looks terrific and I imagine it fits right in with the rest of your old knives and Charlows. The Waltham is a nice addition to the photo too.

Gary - terrific looking pair you're carrying today.

Markesharp - that's some serious patina that you're developing on that one.

I couldn't resist carrying my "Primble-Cat" today.

Primble-Cat - hmmm, well I am honored to be mentioned in the same sentence with that beautiful ole Cat - she looks great in pictures, but, even more impressive to hold and see in person. Lots of snap, but, gentle and did not bite me. I think she has now returned to her glory days, but, still shows she has been around the block a time or two. Probably a sixty year old knife, I would guess. I would be proud to pull that knife out of my pocket and show her off to anyone-anywhere! I hope you will be as well.:)

Thank you Gevo - that FJ of yours is looking great - I see Mr. Lyle likes it! ;) Also thank you for the comment on the goose or Primble-Cat!
Glad you could not quite make out the reflection- would not want to scare you, especially since I shaved my ole beard off a while back. :D Don't forget, there is always a pretty good sized black box in front of my face when I am out picture taking. ;)

Great way to start off the evening :)

Got back in town from our mid-week trip out to the mountains, and this little guy was sitting in the mail box. After working some mineral oil into the pivot to clean 'er out, and a bit on the Sharpmaker, thought I'd test the caplifter, and it works great! :)

I know I've seen it before, but what's the story with that beauty?

2/3 of these are ready for fall

That one is a GEC #15 that has been customized by Evan (Esnyx) with some nice burl and brass liners and pins. Nice looking setup you have there, I'm starting to get excited with bow season coming up!

Another #15 for me today:

Primble - I definitely enjoyed showing it off at work today and look forward to doing the same for many years to come. :D

Gev - now you've got me reconsidering the name... Primble-Cat or Primble-Goose?
