What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Philllll - thanks for the additional shots. Evan did a terrific job accommodating the nail nicks, and the knife is just terrific. Thanks again.

What a great ole classic it is Gev:thumbup: thank you for the compliment on the Viper as well, I have to say though...I don't see a single Cicada:confused::D

Primble suggested a funeral pyre:D The construction of the pyre is still in progress...they were just off camera.

This was it for today: liner-lock 73 in some groovy stag. Thanks, Will

Wow!

Took a boat out with my buddy and went fishing this afternoon. My wife came too because she had never fished. I caught three mackerel. She caught fifteen mackerel and two coal fish, well three coal fish but she gave the small one to my buddies cat Rhubarb. My Opinel is about to begin the dirty work.

Then it'll be ready to work for you by Friday :)

You're going to like it alot!
I have been carrying a Peanut for quite some time now. Went through the bigger more modern knives like the Kershaws and PM2 and started carrying a Peanut eight or nine months ago and it has pretty much been in my pocket since. I did buy a Viper and am trying to convince myself to like it without much luck. I am carrying it today. I hope I like my new 15 and hope I don't find it too thick and too big.

The Viper just came yesterday and I really like this knife:thumbup:

I'm still a two blade Jack knife kind of guy but I've leaned more and more to the single blade ever since I got the Bull Nose;)

Careful now those single blades are addictive!

Sure thing, Stephen! Here is one that I snapped at the same time as the first photo. I will take another shot from the other side too when I get the chance. Appreciate the nice words. The mod was done by Esnyx.

Phil that's sweet! And nice work Evan. The subtle notch in the frame and oversized pivot looks very classy.

Feeling groovy!:D

And here's my carry for today.

Nice looking Hartkopf, Andi.

Looks like a useful fixed blade, Duane. Did you put handles on that?, looks like Desert Ironwood.

A pair from Jerry Halfrich today, old growth redwood burl handles

Kris

Thank You Kris :) Very nice pair you show today. Yes, I did make the handles for that sweet little fixed blade, and the block was a nice piece of desert ironwood. I need to find another with those beautiful streaks of gold color in it...

Got my Aitor Castor mediana a couple of days ago. Been carrying it and I must say the jury is still out on this one...

I hope the lock wears out a bit, that would do the knife a bit more justice. I love it, but I find it a bit difficult to operate, that's pretty much my conclusion 'till now. But for the $$, I'd say get one.

Galeo, is the Aitor a slippie?

RSmith, I made the mistake of showing that light to my g/f, and I was relieved of it on-the-spot! I have to get another, because I think I keep activating my button-end Streamlight in my pocket, even though it's in a slip (wallet, of sorts). One of the best all-the-time with-you versatility compacts I've handled yet.

lol i wanted something a little better than my mini-solitaire mag light and it was Carl (again) that turned me on to these. I keep mine in a little leather case (think its a gec case, but i forget which knife it came with lol) so i've been carrying it for like a year but no real wear on it yet :P

glad to see the wife likes it too!

Finally had time to go for a hike today. Took the Karesuando Singi and Bark River Bravo 1 LT along.

What do you think of the Singi? I have handled one of those and this knife was clearly a lemon. The blade rubbed against liner, action was gritty and and the edge was semi-sharp.
