+1 Elliott sure has good taste

I'm still carrying my Menefee Dogleg. I sliced open a bag of sweet & sour sauce with it and its currently sticky. I need to go clean it.

Elliot

That's a great looking knife. I bet those are integral bolsters. What the closed length?

Thanks. It's just about 4" (Based upon the Case 92 frame.) I can't remember offhand if they're integral or not but I think you're right.

That's a nice one Elliott. I really like your choice in blades. That little wharnie secondary makes for a nice combo.

I rediscovered this Ohta Wharncliffe Trapper and have had it in my pocket the last few days. I really like Hiro's stag. I keep the blade on this one scary sharp too.

Thanks, Gary. I keep edging closer to picking up one of Ohta's knives so I'm pretty sure it's just a matter of time until the right pattern one hooks me.

Yours is a keeper for sure!

Hi Elliott,
I just had to post and say that that knife just jumped out at me. WOW! Is that a beauty! All the knives posted on here are very nice, but this one is several steps above. I really like the blade combination. Thanks for posting it.

(Back to just reading. :) )

Peter you always take some really nice photos. I've got to try taking some soon for my posts. Two nice old knives by the way.
Today I have a small bone handled stockman in my pocket.

With the cool weather starting to make its presence known in the early mornings, I decided to put this one in the pocket today.

This is the first project that Ken Erickson and I ever collaborated on a few years back.
This "Hunter" is a 4 1/8" rendition of a full size folding hunter frame with a modified wharncliffe blade substituted for the skinner blade.

While you see many versions of copperheads, you rarely if ever see custom makers making downsized folding hunters. Don't really know why as its such a classic pattern it seemed a no-brainer to me at the time.

D2 blades and Ken's jigged bone:

Glad that one is getting some pocket time! Thanks Elliott.

I enjoyed that build on several levels.;)

I picked one of these up this afternoon at "ye olde Case shoppe"- it is one of the most beautiful Cases I have ever seen. Case Select Barlow in pearl. With stainless liners. The pearl on mine is breathtaking. At some point, I'll have to get some decent pictures up. Love, love, love it! I got a killer deal too.

Elliott, that Erickson is a beauty!

Don't have a camera handy. Front pocket a Cold Steel Carbon V stockman.
Nice little knife. Back pocket Ken Coats EP with bomb shield. Nice and sharp:D

Coats Toothpick.

Not a great pic, makes the blade look a little short. ATS 34. Tough as nails. Love it. Ken will be hearing from me again soon.

After carrying some them tackitool one handers all week at work, I tossed a Schrade 8OT in my pocket this morning to keep me company.
