I didn't have to scroll to the second picture to know that Ray made it...looks like one of his earlier folders, he hasn't made slipjoints for some time now. I have two of his slipjoints.

Rsmith_77 & Jack - thank you! Today's shaping up to be a much better day, and a three day weekend is on the horizon. :) And, yes, of course you're right Jack, a nice Charlow is always a source of happiness, as is this Schrade Cut. Co. that I'm carrying today.

That is a sweet knife Stephen. The peach seed jigged bone is perfect. I love the old Schrades.

Absolutely beautiful Stephen

That joker is a very interesting knife. I like it a lot.

Thanks a lot Jennifer, it's working out great in the kitchen. I'm carrying it again today, together with my RJ and 22 Magnum :)

Jack - how's the pull on the Joker? I had shied away from Altors despite being interested because I had read how firm the pull was on some of the models. The Joker is also very intriguing to me. Thanks in advance.

I'm carrying this Davison today.

Hope your curry was good Kris. I had one (out) yesterday, thinking about making one at home tonight too! :)

Thanks Jack, it was great, just the right amount of heat. Hope yours was as delicious!

Today is a Sean O'Hare Sparrow in Turkish walnut, Mike Sakmar 3 toned mokume gane, and Mike Norris "Crazy Lace" stainless damascus, sheath with Beaver tail inlay by Claude Scott, along with a Diamond Edge cattle knife by the talented Tom Ploppert.

Kris

Thank you. :)

That is the color of the bone underneath the (now worn off) white dye on Queen's Carved Bone Stag and the stone is a "Viking Whetstone" (Jasper).

Thanks for the info! That stone is unique... Had to order one!

Camp work day is coming. I'm fixing up an old 88 Yamaha Terrapro 4 wheeler to use this season. Me, The Old Cross and The Case 6375 are working in the shop today. Luckily, my bib overalls has two pockets just the right size to hold these two.

Sarah - wonderful combination of scales & shield on my favorite size stockman (3.5"). I'd dub it the 'Licorice Lassoer' if it were mine. :D

Bloefield - attractive and interesting Camillus.

avoidspam - very attractive knife and nicely photographed.

Woodrow - nice pairing.
