What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I got a kick out of it, rsmith!! Snake....snake ....I caught a small snake yesterday while digging a trench by the house but did not want to stress him out by trying to get a picture...but I thought about it!!! Thanks for defending me r8shell!

yeah snakes are fun
i got a buddies wife and one of my co-workers who are terrified of spiders, so everytime i come across one of those freaky spider pics, i save it to the computer to send to them on facebook. Looks like i need to be on the lookout for freaky snake pics now too :D :)

Here is a typical back to class carry for the past two weeks (missing keys, wallet, lighter, etc):

uploadfromtaptalk1409879203029.jpg

I've carried and used one of these two every day (usually as a combo with another traditional) since class started. For a week I slept in my truck because I'm a terrible procrastinator, and ate a lot of apples. The charlow really put a hurtin on em. My modified 22 mini sheepfoot has been a great dipper of sorts, and the blade combo has been really useful for random stuff. The handkerchief contains:

23 Single shot
65 Ben Hogan
82 Dixie
25 Single spear
Vic Farmer

Its a great compact way to have a few day to day carry options without lugging everything into my housing.

I don't know why I typed all this out, on my phone no less.

Thanks Toddwalla! It has quickly become the "go to"

Peter

Mine really has ruined me for anything else for a while.

This what I carried today as I was working on for a couple hours today. This is what it looked like when I got it.

W:eek:W Mark - you did a fine job on that Case make over!! Nice job on the pen re-profile as well.:)

P.S. - you can submit your application for employment at "Primble Works" any time you like! ;) Send app to: Miss Wanda B. Fish, Pleasant Hill, KY. :D

Primble - amazing color on that old Cattaraugus. And the TC Barlow - no slouch either.

These two now - thanks to Primble for a fantastic GAW

and willgoy for a lovely gift

Thank you Jennifer and I am happy to see the Russlock has found it's new home.:) That is a very nice gift from Will.:)

I scaled back from three knives to just two today. The penknife was seamless in my watch pocket and the Trevor Ablett rode nicely at the bottom of my pocket.

Nice to see the special ones in the pocket Stephen. ;)

and just when I thought those Cicadas were history - now they are BACK!!!:eek::D:thumbup: Very nice ulster Gevo!

Really, really nice Gev. I didn't even notice the cicada... guess I was too focused on those stunning wood scales.
Thanks much for the compliment, Stephen. I have to wonder if the scales are original to the knife. Two pins are steel and two brass. the etch is still pretty visible so that points to not a lot of use. The tip is ground off and the grind has been modified on the tip...but....I could not pass it up. The etch had me at first sight and overall it really is a beauty in person. Hard snap, walk and talk, no wobble.

I guess I am just a boy at heart. How does that nursery rhyme go...

Snips and snails
And puppy-dogs' tails,

I think Snips is a Cumbrian dialect word for cicada. It's the old dialect spoken in Yorkshire;)

When I carry this treasured gift, you flit through my thoughts several times a day, ~ P. I trust that you, and all who hold a place in your heart, are well and goodly happy, these days.
Thank you, again, m'lady.

Who cares on the scales - it looks great as it is and if so - the job was nicely done - no more of a deal than fixing a broken tip - in my book.

I would much rather have a re-scaled knife that looks like that than an old knife with scale missing or badly broken scale. ;)

You lost me right after "puppy dog tails", but, I got the Yorkshire dialect.:D

 I'm waiting for a new nut to come in to replace that fella. Good pic there!
I thought the picture had a nice Yin and Yang to it. And of course it wouldn't have been possible without your generosity! I hope your replacement gets there soon. :D

No Agenda - top rate peanut you've got there.
jone- Thank you, it is a great peanut and full of character. And congratulations on your new knives!

Bark on Bark. Last of the summer days here, getting cold so must make the most of it. Regards, Will
