Paul... Thank you very much. Your encouragement the other day kept me from backing out on this deal!
The case is a beautiful blade. Never seen one like it before.

probably dumb question, but if one were to take a spyderco slipit, and remove pocket clips and pocket carry them, would that work for the purposes of this forum?
or is it, it came with one, so your out kinda deal?

just curious, i dont have any spydercos and therefor no dog in this hunt, just honestly wondering

Not a dumb question at all. It really hasn't come up to my knowledge. I'd say if the standard issue has a pocket clip then it probably doesn't belong here. There are a few other places on BladeForums to post about removing pocket clips etc.
Case has added pocket clips to a few of theirs and we've decided they don't belong here.

People put clips on saks and they are still considered traditional. The pingo does fit the requirements for me. Buy, I've carried one and liked it.

Everyone has their own opinions and that's great.
For the purposes of this forum some decisions were made long before Frank and I came along. That's what we use for guidelines, for the most part.
As I said, that's a nice little knife. I might buy one myself. That doesn't mean it belongs here.

We've tried to draw a line between the traditional and not so traditional. Sometimes it's kind of a grey area. If you aren't sure about something feel free to PM, VM or email Frank or me. We'll be happy to give your our best guess.

If you have any more questions or comments, please contact me via PM, VM or email so we can keep the thread on topic. Thanks.

@ Jennifer and Primble, thank you kindly :)
@ Paul, that Appaloosa bone is drop dead gorgeous! The pen looks to be a very generous size, Love it!

I take it that won't be used for hard use and e d c.:p

Actually...I had a beautiful convex edge put on the 52100 and do plan to use it. Got a nice leather pouch for it too, so it's protected - can't just let it sit (though, you're certainly right when it comes to "hard duty" - I'll pick another one for that…:) Thanks for all the comments/re-posts guys, I'm really excited about this one.
