• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Jack - thanks for the feedback. I hope you have a terrific Friday.

Paul - glad to hear that you're able to carry and use that beautiful knife again.

That's a good looking knife Frank, you have inspired me to give my 303 a second chance and carry it today.
I'll try again, and if my wrath isn't placated I think I'll send it away to body shop to get resprayed and have a valeting.

Sounds like a love-hate relationship you are developing Paul - I hear they are great user knives.:D

So finally my FAVORITE knife of knives is back in pocket:thumbup:

Wonderful TC Barlow, captured beautifully. I am glad to hear it is easier to open now.:D

I am still undecided on the covers. I still lean toward stag and time can make stag patina to a darker and/or richer color. I have to say that I was not and am not firm either way. I was uncertain enough that I had to ask, when purchasing from an old dealer. His sidekick also guessed stag. :) Here are a few pictures at 100 magnification percent of the covers, front and rear:

Goodmorning to the gents awake on this page---Jack, Sam and Paul:thumbup:

I've been carrying the EZ Open Scout for sometime as of late for two reasons---she's a beauty and is truly easy to open:D but mainly due to my crushed thumbnail from many months back is FINALLY back to being functional to opening knife blades that normally require a FULL nail:D

So finally my FAVORITE knife of knives is back in pocket:thumbup:

I've carried some regular nail nick knives throughout the healing process (wishful thinking or just habit) but the EZ Open Scout was a blessing to use.

Have a great day and weekend everyone:thumbup:

Good day to you Paul, I'm glad to hear you're recovered now. The Scout is a lovely knife, but it's good you can now carry your favourite :)

I was just looking back through the thread from yesterday. I came across this wonderful old knife and I am still admiring it's beauty.

It has the appearance of an old Primble knife - I never heard anyone answer the details question.

I hope that the beauty of the knife does not cause a person to become delusional.:eek::eek:

:D

;)

Somehow managed to leave for work this morning without dropping a knife in my pocket at all. Fished this out of my glove compartment, thinking this is a chance for me to get re-aquainted with this back up knife :).

I decided to give the IXL and Peanut a well deserved day off and opted for a slightly younger cousin to the Peanut. I hope everyone is having a great day.

My first day carrying these two, a big package arrived yesterday :).
I'm already in love with the Dixie Stockman. I'm not really a Stockman guy because usually the sheepsfoot blade rides so high and I prefer pointy blades.
But with this GEC have done everything right, love the blade selection, very comfortable and surprisingly thin blade stock.

You astonish me. I have two 303s and love them both.
