What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Been renovating bridges this week before the bad weather sets in!

Had these two along, the Farmer lock pretty much lives in the truck and does all the dirty work these days. I'm a bit kinder to the trapper!

(Slightly) prettier pic from the other way (I really don't do where I live justice!!)

Sean

I envy where you work Sam, two great knives and looks like you have a great work partner;)

How about these two today. Actually just carrying the smaller one.

Note the shields. And hopefully this pics will flip to where I edited them to.

I really like those Cold Steel traditonals, I still look from time to time but they are hard to come by. They just scream "Work Knife" to me and I hear the steel is fantastic:thumbup:

I forgot I had this one in my briefcase today. My cell phone is on the fritz right now, so I'll have to go with an older photo:

Dan, I really like that knife, what a great blade combo and combined with those covers...NICE!!!

I think Sarah has one as well or similar?

Thanks Paul. Yes, I know for certain that Sarah has one as well, and I'm not sure who all else. There were only 6 produced using spare parts at GEC for this year's Rendezvous.

Northfield #55 Houndstooth Wharncliffe for me today along with a Bullnose in my bag.

I'm certainly keen on the Houndstooth, has an easy comfortable feel in the hand, is a bit unusual and sports a very credible Wharncliffe.

But the one you show is deeply impressive, the stag suits the curve of the handle and the Northfield 'extras' give it a posh feel. Makes my Tidioute look er, basic:eek::D

Mind you, I would be very interested if they released a Barehead version of this elegant and practical knife. Many thanks for showing this exceptional example:thumbup:

Yup!

Although I confess to feeling a little boasty every time I post it:

(Somewhere, Esnyx is weeping.)

In the spirit of this thread, I shall carry it again tomorrow.

So, to anyone who is reading this on Thursday? This is the Traditional Knife I'm carrying today. :D

My new Case Tony Bose Lanny's Clip arrived today, so I put it in my pocket for the day……………

Thanks Willgoy, I feel very fortunate to come across and acquire this Houndstooth recently. I've wanted this exact version with Warncliffe blade and stag scales since becoming a fan of the Northwoods Burnside and had little hope in finding one. It would make me very happy if Derrick does a Wharncliffe version of the Burnside next go around.

Here is a photo of it closed. The Wharncliffe really works well with the 55.

Awesome knives all around today

flatblackcapo - I really like the jigging and color on that Walden
brisket - That is awesome stage. Really looks good on that frame.
mr_badexample - That is a beautiful looking path, and awesome knives.

I carried my forum knife most of the day (reused picture):

Then an old beat up (the main blade must have been broken, as it's ground to a stub) stockman my dad gave me to eat out with my brother, dad, step mother, and little brother:

And am now working on this tiny little ez open that my dad also gave me:

So, I gave my only Case to my brother. I think I should have at least one Case knife. I'm leaning toward the Peanut, but I'd like a good medium sized stockman. Any suggestions?

For me, this is THE best Sodbuster you can get: thick scales, pointy blade, D2 steel, compact size and not costing a fortune. Nice edge on that one, mellow autumn colours. Don't go dropping that in the leaves as it's the one place yellow is camouflaged:D:D

Thanks, Will
