A very nice look at your Radio Jack - the background is super.:)

Thank you Paul and Todd for your comments.:)

The old Primble Cigar Jack found it's way into the display case last night. ;)

Taking out my forum knife for the first time today. I'll admit, I was pretty disappointed when I first received it. The stag wasn't at all what I was expecting or hoping for (and I feel like I have a pretty broad appreciation for stag), especially after seeing the almost universally high quality of the other forum knives posted - some of it was just amazingly gorgeous stag and almost none of it even approached disappointing.

But, I suppose when viewed without any preconceptions or expectations of nicely figured stag, it isn't unattractive. Little thick for my taste, especially considering I don't get the benefit of good figure because of the thickness, but it fits the hand pretty well. Overall it's a bit of an ugly duckling of the forum knife run, must have been at the very end after they'd used up all the best stag....but it's my ugly duckling and I'm starting to develop a bit of an affinity for it.

Sorry you feel that way, Slide. I, for one, think your Forum knife is GORGEOUS! I really like "whiter" stag like that. Carry it with pride, I think it's a beauty! I'd trade more figured stag for that one any day!

Thank you sir, those are two lovely knives. The Hawkbill is one of the nicest I've seen, beautiful even patina

Awesome picture, Jack. The architectural diamonds are picked up in the knife diamond:thumbup::thumbup:

Thank you very much my friend, passed the old church - St Peter's of Addingham - when I was out walking at the weekend. Some history about it here: http://www.stpetersaddingham.org.uk/st-peters-church-history/

I'm starting to develop a bit of an affinity for it.

Good, it looks great

Thanks Parke1! Like I said, I'm coming around on it finally. I'm a huge fan of well figured stag and I saw so much of it getting posted that I was really expecting to see something similar and this was so far off from that. But it is growing on me and I'm learning to appreciate it for what it is instead of what I expected it to be. It is rather pretty in its own way. This may end up being one of those knives I never would have picked for myself with these covers, but I think I may just end up really loving it anyway.

And I don't want my post to come off as complaining, I understand the variability with stag and really appreciate everything that went into these, especially the donated stag by John Lloyd which, overall, is of a truly amazing quality, especially in this kind of quantity. I've been blown away by the quality of some of the stag pictured. It was more intended to be about how my initial disappointment is getting turned around by this knife and I'm learning to appreciate its qualities.

It's also the best built GEC I've ever handled. Blade is tight, well centered, and holding it up to the light I cannot see a single gap anywhere...and I've never had a production slipjoint (and very few custom ones) where I couldn't find some small gap that at least let some light through. The construction on this thing it tight!

I'm very happy to have it in my pocket today.

Rain today and tomorrow so perfect weather for the 301. Have a nice day everyone. I'll be at the library if you need me. :D

That saw cut bone on the 66 is really neat!

Thank you! I wasn't planning on buying another 66 after I got my Teamster's Jack (I loved the Teamster's so much, I figured I didn't really have any need for another), but then I stumbled across a photo someone else posted here of the sawcut model... I'm a total sucker for sawcut bone, so that pretty much sealed the deal. :) I'm glad it panned out, though, since I really love the slender clip blade on the 66 slim!

I agree with clutch Dan, the knife is a really neat knife, slim carry with great blades and the saw cut is fantastic and the color is phenomenal:thumbup:

My #85 that I put an EO mod on as well as turned the pen blade into a coping blade along with a SAK orange Rancher---kinda Halloweenish;):p

Agreed. Almost looks more like mammoth.

Been renovating bridges this week before the bad weather sets in!

Had these two along, the Farmer lock pretty much lives in the truck and does all the dirty work these days. I'm a bit kinder to the trapper!

(Slightly) prettier pic from the other way (I really don't do where I live justice!!)

How about these two today. Actually just carrying the smaller one.

Note the shields. And hopefully this pics will flip to where I edited them to.

I forgot I had this one in my briefcase today. My cell phone is on the fritz right now, so I'll have to go with an older photo:
